This site always needs more chase reports and pictures from our region. * Storm chasing in Israel is usually done between October and May. New pictures and reports will be added as soon as they happen. Weather Forecast for Israel: The forecast will be back when the active weather season returns in October. Convective Outlook: * None.
* 14 October 2008 2230: Flash flood watch for all areas of Israel, in effect starting Wednesday October 15 0300 until 1100. * 14 October 2008 2230: Severe thunderstorm watch for all areas of Israel, in effect starting Wednesday October 15 0300 until 1100. * 12 October 2008 2100: Flash flood watch for the Judean Desert, the Negev Desert, the Arava, the Dead Sea and the southern Jordan River Valley, in effect starting Monday October 13 1300.
January 8, 2009: * The 2008-2009 season has so far been disastrous. Almost all areas of Israel are experiencing a severe rain deficit. Jerusalem has had only 87 mm of rain so far, which is 42% of the average for this time (207 mm). The average for December alone is more than the 87 mm which we have had since October. If things do not change soon, this season is set to be one of the worst ever in Israel and definitely the worst since 1998-1999.
