This site always needs more chase reports and pictures from our region. * Storm chasing in Israel is usually done between October and May. New pictures and reports will be added as soon as they happen. Weather Forecast for Israel:

* 16 February 2008 2100: Winter storm watch for northern Israel higher than 450 m, and central Israel higher than 600 m, in effect from February 18 1100. * 30 January 2008 1800: Winter storm warning for all areas of Israel higher than 500 m. * 30 January 2008 0800: Winter storm warning for all areas of northern and central Israel higher than 900 m. * 29 January 2008 2000: Winter storm warning for all areas of northern and central Israel higher than 700 m. * 29 January 2008 0800: Winter storm watch for all areas of northern and central Israel higher than 500 m, in effect from January 29 1200, and for all areas higher than 700 m in southern Israel, in effect from January 29 2000. * 27 January 2008 1015: Winter storm watch for all areas of Israel higher than 600 m, in effect from January 29 1200. * 19 November 2007 2340: Flash flood warning for all low-lying areas along the Mediterranean coast. * 19 November 2007 2340: Severe thunderstorm warning for all areas along the Mediterranean coast, inland into the Jezreel Valley, Shfela, and Galilee.
July, 2007: * July 2007 continued the warming trend observed for July in the past decade, and was the fifth warmest ever recorded in Israel, since records began in 1948, according to NCEP GFS reanalysis data for 32.5N/35E. Out of the 10 warmest July months, 7 were from the mid-1990s onwards, and not one before the mid 1970s. On July 29th 2007, 850mb temperature reached 31.35 C, the highest ever recorded in Israel, breaking the previous record set in July 1980. The last 10 days of July are always the warmest part of the month, but on 2007 they were the warmest ever recorded, 5.2 C above average. On July 29th 2007, MSLP reached 999.1 mb, the second lowest ever recorded in July and only the second time below 1000 mb in July.
